In the fall of 2003, I joined the Belmar Saint Patrick's Day
Parade Committee. Along with fundraising and organizing the different groups within the
parade, I felt the best way that
I could contribute to the parade
was to redesign their 2004
website pro bono.
After the redesign, the statistics jumped dramatically from about
4 visitors a day to 250 daily,
with returning visitors checking back a few times per week.
I attribute this to the fundraiser pages with the photos I snapped during each event.
The number of donations to the Parade Committee from visitors
to the site increased by
about $3000.
The Belmar Saint Patrick's Day Parade is one of the largest parades in New Jersey.
The 2004 parade attracted over 200,000 spectators and over
300 groups & pipe bands
marching in it.
